Hi Evan,

I did two stories in January (to refresh your memory one was an analysis of Beyoncé’s last 100 photographed outfits, “100 Times Beyoncé was Perfect,” each with its own animated gif, and original reporting from stylists, fashion designers, and, where appropriate, music industry sources, and the second one, “What’s the Best State to Change your Gender?” was a quiz, accompanied by a clickable U.S. map which provided a state-by-state round up of relevant legislation and short, reported interviews with local activists).

Total payment is $175 – $75 each, and my editor threw in an extra $25 for the 50 short interviews. Please advise.

Best,

Sarah

Hi Evan.

This is Sarah Miller again. I wrote you last Monday. I did two stories for the January issue,  “100 Times Beyoncé was Perfect,” and “What’s the Best State to Change your Gender?” and I haven’t gotten paid yet. Just checking in!

Hi Sarah.

Sorry, I didn’t get back to you. I have been looking into it, for a week.

Who did you do that story for?

Carrie: Please help Sarah signed up for the Supplier Network. Sarah: you need to fax a photo I.D. to [email protected], and then you also need to fill out this direct deposit paperwork. Fax that to the same number.

Hi Evan. Hi Carrie.

This is Sarah Miller. My reference number is 8234jep333wwwwwoopp22. I have signed up in the Supplier Network, which, I must add, took me several hours, and, in the end, required me to hire a consultant.  I faxed both the photo I.D. and the direct deposit forms. You have my invoice. I think that’s all. Can you let me know when I can expect payment?

Hi Sarah

We generally pay 110 business days after we process the invoice. Because you were late with your paperwork and we can only submit invoices to accounts receivable on the last Friday of every quarter, I am not entirely clear on when we will be able to submit yours. But I am going to leave it to Carrie to give you an official answer.
